Art Management Projects
I began my professional journey in art management in 2019 through a long-term program by the Goethe-Institut Alexandria. This experience equipped me with skills in planning, developing, and implementing art and culture initiatives. Upon completing the program, I was selected by the Goethe-Institut’s director to become one of the program officers at "6 Bab Sharq," a cultural and art space affiliated with the Goethe-Institut Alexandria.
In 2020 and 2021, “6 Bab Sharq” was fully funded by the German Foreign Office to support artistic freedom and decentralization for emerging artists in Egypt. We provided opportunities for networking, exhibitions, workshops, and capacity-building trainings, focusing on cinema, visual arts, and literature. In early 2022, I transitioned “6 Bab Sharq” into an independent LLC, dedicated to nurturing the artistic and cultural landscape of Alexandria and fostering connections with the broader Egyptian art scene.
Additionally, in 2021, I participated in the TANDEM 360 program, a year-long cultural exchange initiative that encourages multidisciplinary project development for societal change through art and culture. During this program, I gained insights into building long-term collaborative projects through intensive workshops and mentorship sessions. As part of the program's practical phase, I received a grant to develop and produce a music residency in Jordan and Egypt
Exhibition Title: Oblivious to Me - Medium: Photography
Role: Manager
Curator: Nadia Mounier
Exhibition description: The exhibition contains nine projects that were produced in the Photography Lab and are still under development and research. The main theme of the programme is the social environment and all the factors which affect identity, thought, and belief. During the programme, the projects managed to meet under an encompassing umbrella which contains subtle intertwined narratives, uninterrupted by the facilitators or guidance sessions. Some of these projects are produced with a desire to speak about all that has passed and was not addressed or explained. Photography as a medium for these projects generated questions on storytelling techniques, archiving, time, and the power of memory in recalling all that we thought had passed or had been lost in time.

Exhibition Title: Isolated In The City
Role: Curator
Nov 2019
Under the weight of architectural shift, we've been isolated from the sea. The city has now a center of its own, where everything is taking place, all was made available under the notion of entertainment. The city's inhabitants have become marginalized and neglected; they have locked themselves in their neighborhoods and districts.
The artists Shahenda Ahmed, Mayar El Masry, Hassan Ghoniem, Ahmed Tag, and Ahmed Hamdy tell their stories about the changes they have seen and witnessed in the city.
Project Title: Folklore Bridges Residency - Feb 2022

The program aims for an equal chance for cultural exchange, where musicians can co-create folklore fusions to be shared in a concert while forming new musical friendships beyond borders - all captured in a documentary film for heritage preservation.
